In our participatory mapping projects, we think it's important to train your staff, your volunteers, and, of course, the community members your serve in mapping and data collection so that our mapping efforts are both efficient and effective. We train participants on how to use desktop and web based mapping systems as well as hand held devices like global positioning system units and cell phones that NiJeL uses to collect data.
